Amid the coronavirus shutdown that’s preventing all of us from travelling the way we like, a handful of Aussie creators, celebrities and chefs banded together with Australia.com to run a series of live tours of different part of Australia.
Amongst names like Matt Wright from the Northern Territory, the Wiggles and Rove McManus, Kimberley local and author of 100 Things To See In The Kimberley, Scotty Connell showed the world through his backyard (literally – a chopper took off from his back lawn!). Scotty was joined by pro surfer Anthony Walsh, who’s been staying in the Kimberley while waiting out coronavirus.
The pair began the stream from Elephant Rock, overlooking the Ord River before hiking down to a waiting boat explore the waterway and go for a quick dip. From there they sped to Scotty’s backyard on the banks of the Ord, where a chopper was waiting for them. Flying over the Carr Boyd Range, they ended up at Lake Arglye for a swim in one of Australia’s most stunning infinity pools. They culminated the live stream video at Lake Argyle’s dam wall.
If you missed it, here’s the video so you can check out the sights and adventure you’ll find around Kununurra when you do get to visit.
